RSL and Veterans
Veterans & associated service organisations are entrusted with the commemoration of the large
numbers of ex-service people who have contributed to the preservation of our country and made
possible the liberty & economic well being we all enjoy today.
Veteran's associations can erect permanent memorials containing just a few names or many
hundreds. The combination of materials such as bronze & stone produce a high quality, durable
& long lasting statement to the memory of those who have sacrificed so much.
Honour rolls can contain the names & any other data such as rank & service details.
Phoenix's compositors can arrange all the data in a logical format & provide a full sized proof
so that the proposed plaque can be publicly displayed to ascertain any errors or
omissions before the plaque is manufactured.
Cast bronze letters have been used since ancient times & have withstood the onslaught of modern
competitive materials to be a premium product for the identification of memorial structures.
For many years, Phoenix has been chosen to provide sculptural bronze elements for public memorials. Recent
monumental work by Phoenix includes Duntroon, RAAF Memorial in Canberra & The Australian War Memorial in
London.
A range of military insignia is available in standard sizes
alternatively our sculptors can create to order.
The use of cast bronze will permanently commemorate servicemen in an impressive & dignified way.
Australian War Memorial - London
The Australian War Memorial London was dedicated on 11 November 2003 by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, in the presence of the Prime Minister of Australia, the Hon John Howard MP and the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, the Rt Hon Tony Blair MP.
Phoenix Foundry is proud to have manufactured the bronze military crests and other plaques that form part of this magnificent memorial.
