Schools and Colleges
Schools & Colleges whether they be public or private have a unique place in our culture. We all spend
a significant part of our lives attending these institutions and they are a formative factor in our lives.
Bronze finds many applications in the physical buildings where cast bronze letters provide an imposing air of
permanence as well as a long lasting, durable sign of the buildings name & function.
Likewise, the school crest or logo can be interpreted by our sculptors & reproduced in bronze.
Lists of names whether they be past staff, dignitaries, academic achievers, benefactors or whole
class groups can be recorded in the permanent media of cast bronze.
Benefactors play a prominent role in most schools whether they be individuals or groups such as old pupils,
parents & citizens, mother's club.
It is in the school's interest to record its appreciation for the time &
monetary contribution that these people make. Cast bronze plaques
have an aura of durability & permanence that cannot be achieved with
more modern materials.
Plaques can be prominent statements to record
the institution's appreciation for a substantial donation (and attract more
donations) of a benefactor or a small & economical recording of the
names of a group of individuals who have worked for the school.
Modern technology allows Phoenix to place a large amount of inscription on a small plaque to
record the names of a whole class, group or sporting team. This creates an economical &
permanent record for future generations.
